Well made, easy to install with great instructions!!
Manufactured by Mazda, peace of mind plus I can use LED bulb for my 1990 NA.
Nice useful product
These are better than OEM
No longer need a helping hand to bleed brakes. Living out in the sticks by myself this makes a big difference.
Shutting the door with a solid sound to it. Ride with the hardtop on is exceptionally quiet.
Holy S***, just got my door bushings, installed them on my 2011 PRHT with 38,000 miles. Who would have ever thought that something as simple and inconspicuous as door bushings would be so transformative with this car. After driving the car for 15 years, I was blown away by the improved rigidity and stiffness of the car, my only regret is that I didn't do this years ago. Thank you FM, you guy's really rock!!
High quality, perfect fit and protected well for shipping.
Im not an expert regarding spark plugs, but mine needed replacing and these did the job. My Miata feels much nicer to drive now!
Works good! Make sure you clean the mounting surface before installation.
Just buy this gasket. It works, it's easy to replace, and gives you a peace of mind from not having to deal with the "Devil Hose" if you have the 1.8 engine.
What is the "Devil Hose", you ask??
The Cam Angle Sensor gasket is pretty infamous on the NA Miatas, it's basically guaranteed for the OEM gasket to fail which will cause an oil leak. The oil leak is usually very small, but on the 1.8 engines the CAS is placed right above a small rubber coolant hose that goes behind the engine, stuffed between the engine and the firewall. When the gasket fails, the oil starts to leak directly onto this hose. After a while the oil starts to deteriorate the hose, which will cause the hose to burst open, spraying pressurized coolant everywhere. I learned this the hard way.
This particular coolant hose has been named the "Devil Hose" by the Miata community. It has earned this name because it can cause catastrophic damage, and it can be a ROYAL pain to replace. There is very little room behind the engine to access the hose. You can remove the entire intake to give you better access, but it can still be a struggle to get off without proper tools.
Make sure you properly mark how your CAS was mounted before you take it off. I just drew a line with a Sharpie on the CAS and the mounting bracket so I could line it up perfectly afterwards.
The old gasket was basically plastic with how hard it became. This is typical after 30 years (mine is a 1994) but it was definitely due for a replacement. If you have an NA or NB Miata, your gasket might need replacement at this point.
This gasket is super duper easy to install and it stopped the leak. Emphasis on the "duper", installation took about 30 seconds. Just carefully pry out the old gasket, and this new gasket just slips on.
I have the 949 SuperMiata coolant reroute and radiator, and this hose DOES work with them. I didn’t have to stretch this hose or have to cut some off to make it fit, it worked perfectly out of the box. The old non-formed bulk hose supplied with the 949 reroute made contact with the throttle body wheel, fuel lines, intake manifold, and clutch line bracket on the firewall. This hose is a big improvement and only makes contract with the intake manifold. The only “issue” I had with hose, is that it made the coolant bleeding process a bit of a pain, but all I had to do was squeeze the hose a few times to get the bubbles out of the system. I have attached some photos that show how this new hose fits, and what I had to do to protect the old hose.
I installed the FM sway bars, end links and Koni adjustable shocks about 11000 miles ago on my 2003 Miata. Finally added the springs. The coil springs make the suspension feel more stable, more solid in curves. I was worried about too stiff a ride. The ride is a little stiffer feeling but not too much to me and it is not jolting. I wish I had done the spring install sooner! I have the sways at recommended outer hole front and mid hole rear and have the Koni’s set at 1/2 turn above minimum. I tried .25, .5, .75, and 1 full turn above minimum on the shocks. The full turn was jittery ( too much rebound ). I found the 1/2 turn setting is not floaty and does not have any extra bounces after going over bumps or swales. I expect ride height to settle out at 12.75” front and 13.25” rear as I had new rubber ring seats installed.
