Description
It's actually kind of surprising the ND uses incandescent bulbs instead of LEDs for the taillights. The shape of those cool rear lights is just asking for a good Chip On Board light instead of the varying intensity and bright spots you get with a bulb.
No longer! This LED board fills out the entire reflector so you have a nice bright turn indicator that can't be missed.
But wait, there's more! It's also sequential, lighting up from the inside to the outside so that even the most distracted driver will (hopefully) get the message.
Two color options are now available. Choose between amber and red.
Sold as a pair, one pair per car.
These parts are not compatible with 2024 and later Miatas because they have different wiring as they come with LED turn signals.

LED seems to be of high quality. Nothing particularly hard about the install, just a little time consuming. I recommend taping the paint around the lights to protect the finish. Watch the install videos and you'll have no problem.
This LED kit is great. The hardwired resistors are a simple plug and play. They should allow front LED turn signal bulbs to be added without hyper flash. The stock turn signals threw a tiny2 inch square beam when viewed from directly behind in a tall SUV or a pickup truck. These lights fill the turn signal housing and are much more visible from directly behind. For just $15 more than the price of the p,ug and play resistor kit, they are a bargain. Easy to install.
With a little help from UT.. these were easy to install. They look awesome. My friends think they look Great. Just take your time with the installation..
brightness is a little brighter than stock, but not very bright for a LED. I really like the smooth dimming between on/off on the stock turn signal, so I went with the sequential one. I think the ideal configuration for me is the"pulsing" LEDs on cx-30, cx-50 tail light, but that will require more r&d on PWM for adapting to ND Miata
Aside from tugging those rear taillights out, this is a fairly easy upgrade and I do like the improved visibility you get from the rear.. It also makes your Miata just a little more unique without a glaring change from its stock appearance.
