Rebuildable driveshaft for 1.8 Miatas
Rebuildable driveshaft for 1.8 Miatas

Description
Miata driveshafts aren't designed to be rebuildable. Over time, the universal joints will develop a flat spot that can eventually cause vibration problems. Some driveshaft shops claim to be able to replace these joints, with varying levels of success.
This is a brand new driveshaft with universal joints that are designed to be easily replaced (part #7260, usually available locally) even at home. Steel construction, made to the same dimensions as stock. Since Miatas don't break driveshafts, we didn't feel the need to go with a more expensive solution. Dynamically balanced for smooth running.
Fits 1994-05 manual transmission and 1994-97 automatic cars. Can also be used as part of a Torsen retrofit on a 1990-93 model.
Includes free ground shipping inside the US.

Great quality aftermarket driveshaft. Heard a bad metal scraping sound when maneuvering at low speeds and in reverse . The noise ended up being the u-joints so this new driveshaft took care of the noise. Happy with the quality and quick shipping flyin miata provided. Worked great on my 05 Nb with the 6 speed.
Super easy installation, exactly what I was expecting and was delivered really fast! Overall couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
Bought this driveshaft because I heard it was a good OEM replacement that I can rebuild. I ran it on my daily for 5k miles and the front U-joint Failed and started to click at constant speeds while throwing grease on my cat. When I contacted management after and send them pics of the u joint they stated would not accept a blow out u joint as a valid failure and said it was to over greasing of the u joint and they would need to have it bind to take it back. Well... if they knew the product they sold they would KNOW its NOT a greaseable U joint. A click under load at speed will not cause a bind that can be shows when taken out, but it WILL annoy you to death. I had to replace the joint on my own and find the part # for the U-joint from Miata Roadster.com. I Do Not recommend this driveshaft unless you put better U-joints in it when it first arrives at your door.
Note from FM: We were mistaken about the greaseable U-joints, and we're working with the customer to take care of his situation. A failure after 5000 miles is very unusual, this is likely the first time we've heard of such an issue.
Found out I had a busted driveshaft while swapping out my clutch. This was shipped quickly and packed right. Fit and finish we’re perfect, dropped right in to my NB. Driveshaft is definitely balanced, the ride is super smooth. Highly recommended!
