Upright / stock radiator adapter hose kit for FM reroute
Upright / stock radiator adapter hose kit for FM reroute
Collapsible content
Description
If you still have an upright / stock-format radiator, the upper radiator hose routing with a reroute can be pretty clumsy. The "right" answer is our crossflow radiator - seriously, it's WAY more efficient than any upright / stock-style radiator - but this adapter hose will give you clean routing with your existing radiator. Tight bends for fit, but open enough for good flow, this should fit nearly any install. Both ends of the hose are left a little long so you can trim to fit if need be. 1.25" inside diameter, includes two constant-torque hose clamps and a coupler to attach to your existing reroute-specific upper radiator hose. Note that this is in addition to your existing hose, it doesn't replace it, and it doesn't include a hose clamp for the radiator side, as you should already have that clamp. This hose will work with the stock spring clamp.
Intended for reroutes only, won't work with cars that will have stock radiator routing.

moved the existing hose away from potential wear points. Good quality
Worked perfect with my $90 aliexpress coolant reroute
I had a Qmax coolant reroute from supermiata with an oversized rad, but with standard inlets/outlets. This kit does a nice job of cleaning up the routing of the top hose so it looks a bit more "factory". However, I later found a hose from another provider that included the same "kink" but went all the way back to the rear of the block, so no splice was required. Simpler/cleaner solution. It would be nice if FM could include the full-length hose with the kink in it, then let people cut to fit if they choose (for example, if they have the thermostatic "fan brain" that comes with their brushless fan, like I do.
Definitely works as advertised though - easy install and no leaks!
There are one-piece options out there, but those are quite a bit more expensive. Plus, the hose needs to cut for the fan brain anyway.
