NA/NB throttle cable release tool
NA/NB throttle cable release tool
Collapsible content
Description
If you've ever removed your throttle cable from the firewall, you know it can be surprisingly difficult. There are stiff tabs on the top and bottom, and getting them both released at the same time is more of a pain than it should be. This is a simple but effective tool that takes care of that for you.
Easy to use - release the cable from the pedal, make sure there's no insulation to keep the tool from making contact with the metal of the firewall, then slip it into place. Use the pedal to push the tool down, and the cable will pop out. Piece of proverbial cake.
This is another part from our You Design program, which gives the DIY community an outlet for their designs and an opportunity to make money from their hard work and ingenuity.

It would be nice if you sold digital designs alongside the part itself. Many of us from the community do have the 3d printer. Because this part was out of stock, I had to reverse engineer the design and print it myself. Would be happy to buy the design though.
We definitely understand the idea, but the You Design designs - such as this - aren't ours, so they aren't ours to sell. The designers are free to offer them on public sites, e.g. Thingiverse, though. In addition, when we don't print the parts ourselves we have no control over the quality, and we don't want people thinking the designs are poor because their printer or settings aren't up to the task. Some designs will work with more generic printers and material, some won't.
