Filling up your car is really pretty easy, but there's one major annoyance - where did Mazda expect us to put the cap? It'll mostly fit next to the filler neck, and it'll always fit on the trunk lid, but one is decidedly sub-optimal and the other is a major no-no if you care about the paint. This is an easy solution to give you a perfect spot for it. It installs in the underside of the filler lid and gives you a perfect place the hold the filler cap - just give it a quick turn into place. As with all of our 3D-printed parts, this is printed out of Onyx, a carbon fiber infused nylon that's resistant to many things, including gasoline.

This will only fit factory fuel filler doors, it likely won't fit non-original fuel filler lids - if your fuel filler door is chrome, whether aftermarket or Mazda, this almost definitely won't fit.

This is another part from our You Design program, which gives the DIY community an outlet for their designs and an opportunity to make money from their hard work and ingenuity. Do you have a polished design you think the Miata community could benefit from? Please reach out to us at!

Tight but in a good way

Very tight fit but works great. Check the YouTube video for the install on the FM channel.

Works as expected

Little hard to put in and then you read the instructions and it’s smooth sailing

Now I don't have to lay my gas cap on my car.

Inexpensive and effective!

Great design! It takes some effort to snap into place, but this inspires confidence that it will stay put which I appreciate. I found success squeezing palm to palm one hand behind the door and one on the holder to get the last bit snapped in.
