Description

Having the right tool for the job can make all the difference. This can be even more true when you're removing or installing a clutch or flywheel. Our simple-to-use flywheel locking tool holds the flywheel stationary, allowing the user to both break loose and torque flywheel or pressure plate hardware without the flywheel rotating. No more awkwardly holding things with a pry bar!

Fits NA & NB engines. We have a separate version available for NC & ND engines.

Flywheel Lockout Tool

Yet again, another simple yet amazing tool that makes the clutch job just so much easier. Used it to torque down my new exedy lightweight flywheel and clutch kit with no movement at all. Only thing I will say is I wish that the tool locked on both it's teeth, mine only had 1 tooth at a time in place with my flywheel. Still worked perfectly though and I highly recommend!

Thanks for the kind words, Ryan! We designed these tools to only engage one 'tooth' at a time, creating a neutral position that allows the flywheel to be rotated in either direction as necessary while still being loosely bolted to the engine block. This is helpful so that you don't have to hold the tool with one hand (or have to entirely remove and reinstall it) while rotating the flywheel to reach the bolts on top.

Well designed, simple and effective

$20 seems steep for something so trivial, but it makes the job 10x easier than trying to hold a prybar in the flywheel teeth or holding the crank bolt in place. I had to readjust my clutch plate a couple times and having this tool just made it that much quicker when torquing down my pressure plate.

Highly recommend FM products!!
