Wheel centering ring
Wheel centering ring
Collapsible content
Description
Stock Miata wheels are hubcentric. This means that the center bore of the wheel matches the outer bore of the hub, making for a nice snug fit. This doesn't make for any difference in performance, but it does make it easier to install the wheel. Once the lug nuts are torqued, the wheel will center itself on the tapered lug nuts.
Many wheels have a 67.1 center bore. If you want to make them hubcentric for an NA, NB or ND Miata, you can use these centering rings.
Anodized 6061-T6 aluminum means no corrosion and no melting.
Sold individually, one needed per wheel.

The outer diameter of the ring fits perfectly onto the wheel, however the inner diameter has too much play on the hub, allowing it to move around too much.
Note from FM: You need a small amount of play there so the ring can stay in the wheel and slip on and off of the hub. Remember, the wheel is ultimately centered on the tapers of the lug nuts - the centering ring is to ease installation, not to perfectly locate the wheel.
Very loose. These are supposed to fit very snugly onto the hub. I cant believe I didnt notice until almost a year later, but the ring doesnt fit and is always bouncing around. I purchased one as I had lost one of my other set of 4. Only when I pulled the wheel off and the ring kept falling off did I realize something was wrong. 01 Miata
Be warned that you may receive generic hub rings. I ordered a set of 8 and got all generic ones you can also get off Amazon.
