Would like to see the part that engages the old dipstick to be a push onto with a Snap, instead of a lateral slide on design that it is now. Note I was able to knock it off a couple times already.
While we usually see a positive snap into place, since dipsticks will break in different ways, there's no way to guarantee that. If yours is a little loose, a bit of superglue will hold it in place solidly. This, and other info, is in the instructions, it's definitely worth taking a look at them - it seems like a simple install, and typically is, but there are some details we've sorted out that can be really helpful.
My dipstick never had a handle since I've owned the car. Works great so far, nice and snug. If it ever does loosen up a little it would be super easy to epoxy it in place. Hope it lasts a long time!
This pop-on handle replaced the 2-inches of 3/8" plastic hose I had been using as a handle for the past 4 years.
