Description
Looking for maximum airflow through your hood? These Singular louvers (or hood vents) were designed specifically for the Miata. They'll increase the airflow through your radiator as well as add front downforce - it's all good.
The louvers do require you to cut into your hood, of course. But there's a good reason for that. To make installation as easy as possible, they come with clear instructions and a stick-on vinyl template to ensure you position them at the lowest pressure areas. These locations were determined by actual testing for the best airflow and Singular claims a 50% drop in underhood pressure. There are even integral Gurney flaps ahead of the louvers to add to the efficiency.
Installing the louvers under the skin of the hood takes a bit longer, but makes for a very clean look. The kit even includes rubber trim for the opening. You can also rivet them in from above, which is considerably quicker.
Black anodizing. Be aware that these can turn bronze with enough time and heat.

Louvers were of great quality and you can even feel the difference at highway speeds car feels less like a parachute haha. I only wish they had better instructions the singular website seems a little dated and not many videos on it. Maybe FM can make one, one day, they always have great install instructions.
After a scorching racing day at big Willow my Miata over heated. Frustrated since I had the biggest radiator mishimoto has to offer with their fans I was still overheating. Decided to purchase these after a long debate wether or not I should get them Ann they did not disappoint. I can feel the heat radiating from the vents from just street driving and they offer minor aero dynamics too, which is a plus). Installation with no body work experience at all , an angle grinder and rotary tool took me 11 hours. I did put them under the hood for the cleaner look so if you are planning on just sitting them on top of the hood should take you a lot less time.
The only tip I can give is to tape the whole hood and close your doors so you won’t get aluminum dust in there. .

Cannot say enough good things about these vents. They look absolutely amazing but more importantly have made a huge difference in the under hood temperatures. I was having overheating issues before adding this product and the FM turbo heat shield and now all issues are resolved!! Highly recommend!
