About the springs:
FM springs are well known for providing a good balance of street ability and track performance. Their combination of ride height - giving the suspension room to work - and spring rate means your Miata will ride and handle better than you would expect from a set of performance springs.
There's more going on than you think, though. See that section with the tighter coils? Those are designed to act as a secondary spring, keeping the spring from going loose under full droop. While these rates might sound high compared to some other springs on the market, they are stiff enough to keep your car off the bumpstops. Softer springs will often give a worse ride because they allow you to blow through your suspension travel and end up on the stops. We've specified a powdercoat with a high zinc content for extra corrosion resistance, too.
How much will they lower your car? We can't tell you, because Mazda changed the ride height of Miatas over the years. However, if you measure from the center of the wheel to the fender lip, you can compare your car to the final result. It's not a huge drop but once you drive the car you'll appreciate how well it works.
Includes a complete set of our upgraded bump stops.

So far, these are awesome! I need to start by saying I bought my 2008 NC and owned it for less than a month before it went under the knife to install these shocks and springs, so my stock experience is fairly limited. The installation went great! Between the FM Youtube video showing installation and the instructions, I was able to confidently complete the job over 2 weekday evenings. I've been out on a few spirited canyon and mountain drives since installing them and the Miata is absolutely planted through the corners! I also feel like the car is better on rough roads, expansion joints, potholes, due to the stiffer spring rate and hasn't lost any real practicality.
I plan to track this car and have a hard dog roll bar ready to install, but knowing that this car will see the street most often, I am happy with the balance provided by this setup. It also looks great! (see before and after photos)
Thanks FM for all of the resources you provide!

My 07 NC has 120k miles and was bottoming out over bumps with barely any rebound dampening. The Koni’s did the trick. Love the slightly firmer ride, flatter cornering. Big bumps are handled with ease. Feels like a new car. Lowered about an inch with the milder settings.
I replaced the factory Bilsteins and springs on my 2007 GT PHRT (with 90K miles) with this setup and it lowered the front from 15 to 14" and the rear from 14.5 to 13". That doesn't sound like much but it still looks significantly lower. The ride and cornering feels solid and is not too stiff for a daily driver.
wanted a lower stance and improved suspension this product did not disappoint!! on my vehicle 14.25 inches from wheel center to fender on the front - rear wheel was 14 inches 2008 mx5 California model. great handling looking forward to the 10 fwy in the mornings
Corners flat, flat, flat. No more body roll. Be careful, It'll whet your appetite for a SC or Turbo...
Note from FM: we offer no apologies for that last bit.
