Description
The PRHT top is great, but the functionality could be better. Of course, what works for one person may not be great for the next, so ideally it could be customized to what each person wants. Fortunately, the MX5things PRHT roof controller solves those problems and more:
- One-touch top - raise or lower your top with a single button push, no more holding the button down until it's done.
- Auto mode - automatic roof lowering will start when the top latch is opened.
- Raise or lower the top while driving - no more having to stand still, it can now be operated at up to 30mph (48 kph).
- Reverse override - move the top while in reverse.
- Easy install - plug and play, and fully reversible. No cutting of any wires. Setting everything is easy but it does require a laptop.
- Programmable - plug your laptop in via USB, and control what options you want active and what values you'd like - e.g., you can change the speed limit for top operation to 15mph. The module can also be updated with this same method.
Preset settings are:
- Auto mode - enabled
- One-touch - enabled
- Speed setting - 30mph
Please note that this will not change the functionality of the power windows, you'll still need to manually raise them after putting the top up.

The RCNC-2 module shipping now has the same functionality as the RCNC module but uses a different configuration software. The sticker on the module indicates the hardware version. The RCNC is no longer available.

Sería muy bueno que en el tutorial expliquen mejor cómo quitar el pin que conecta el módulo al carro. Es muy difícil y me tocó acudir a un taller para que me lo desconectaran, la verdad no me pareció muy fácil
De resto todo funciona súper bien…

Living in Florida, you never know when a rain storm will pop up. About a week after install, on my way home from work, that very thing happened. As I got off the interstate, as soon as I slowed to 30mph, I was able to get the top up and avoid being drenched. The self perceived cool factor is high. Something about putting the top up and down while rolling makes me feel like a boss.
Installation was easy as pie. It took about as long to disconnect the battery. The default settings seemed ideal for me so I haven't bothered plugging in my laptop, so you'll have to read other reviews for that. IMHO, this roof controller is a must have for any prht owner.
Slightly deceptive title, the product is immaculate, issue was on my end due to the previous owners installing one and messing up the latch on the original harness so it was a pain to get in between the connectors. There is an issue im having where when i installed the mod and went to turn it on it seems to have bugged my traction control but it may be a user error or maybe the electrical sent a false signal when i was disconnecting or connecting the battery. Great and speedy delivery.

I had my NC about two weeks until this roof controller became a necessity. I'm using it just as it came. You literally unplug a cable and place this device in its place. I think it took 10 minutes and most of this time was spent unplugging the existing plug. After that, it was a breeze.
Being able to simply unlatch the roof and everything else happens hands free is really the way Mazda should have made it. Such a nice improvement!
