This phone holder kit from our friends at MX5things fits conveniently into the cup holder mounting slot next to the shifter. The phone holder is really easy to use - put your phone in and let it drop down, and the arms on the side will come in to hold the phone. To release the phone, simply pull up on the phone and it will be released. It's a simple mechanism that will always work and keeps things cheap and easy. The stable base comes equipped with a 17mm ball to attach the included universal phone holder keeping it clear of your controls and display. You can also use any other 17mm ball-mount accessories.

Holds phones up to 3.5" (88.9mm) wide and 1/2" (12.7mm) thick.

Fits LHD only.

Cell Phone holder

The cell phone holder worked out great on my 2023 RF. I found a 6” cable online and it’s a clean setup for Apple CarPlay. Thanks!

Nice Concept

I purchased this to see how it would hold up to the other 3-4 phone mounts I have tried. I never wanted to attach anything directly to the dash so I was between using no mount and various "tough" vent mounts. The issue with Miata's is of course that the only vent you can attach a mount to is the one under the display (which isn't very strong). The sheer weight of phones + cases really pushes many of those mounts to their limit. This mount goes directly into the cup holder slot and it is much more sturdy than any other mounts I've tried. The main issue is that when in use it comes very close to the handbrake release button. So much so that I often hit my phone just trying to put the handbrake down. I like the concept but if it was maybe a bit taller it could have a bigger clearance gap between your phone and the handbrake.
