Description
Make installing your dash cam or radar detector even easier with a plug-n-play power cable that easily pulls power from your rearview mirror. Available in two options:
- The USB option uses a USB-A connector powered by the accessory circuit, so power will be provided only when the car is turned on. Provides 5V output.
- The flying Lead option has three wires that allow you to wire in your own setup. The harness provides constant power (12V), accessory power (switched 12V), and ground.
Only compatible with 2009-2023 US-spec cars equipped with Home Link rear view mirrors. You can tell if your mirror is equipped with Home Link by if it has a 10-pin connector, this won't work with six-pin connector mirrors. Note that this will not work with ND3 (2024+) Miatas.

I had a dashcam with a wire tucked under the trim on the A pillar, down to the 12V outlet in the passenger footwell. It worked well for a few months, but the wire started buzzing at certain RPMs and the double-sided tape kept coming unstuck, leaving the wire dangling in the footwell. This little dongle simplified things quite a bit. Easiest install ever, just unplug the existing cord and plug this one in.
I purchased the USB version for use with a dash cam. I was happy to see that when it arrived it was smaller than I expected which was a great bonus since I wanted as clean an instillation as possable. It took more time to decide where to stick the dash can than it did to intall it with this adaptor.
Solid plug and play. Unplug your mirror then put this in the middle.
For now its perfect but I may try to make a shorter one for better cable management
I got the Vantrue N2 Pro camera and wanted to hide the wires as much as possible since we have limited space for wire hiding. This took less than a minute to install and works perfectly.
I recommend using the length of cable that it adds as an anchor for any excess wire! It's nice and stiff :D
As advertised. Fits well. Just need to find a mini cable now for my dashcam.
