Route package protection

We have partnered with Route to bring you optional package protection for your Flyin' Miata shipments. They offer a quick and easy resolution to problems related to lost, damaged or stolen packages at a reasonable cost. Filing a claim takes just seconds and is often approved within minutes. Route will arrange for replacement products or a refund for you.

Route's Package Protection helps cover the following instances:

  • Theft: Shipping issues for packages marked "delivered" yet not received, can be approved no earlier than 5 days after the “delivery date” and no later than 30 days to ensure it was not misdelivered or easily found around the premises.
  • Damage: Photos of the damaged item and packaging are required for damaged shipping issues
  • Loss: Shipping issues for packages presumed to be lost (where the status is not "delivered") can be filed at any time. Issue resolution is based on the estimated delivery date for your order which is available when your claim is filed.

Route will deal with all claims directly, without the need for Flyin' Miata to be involved. This will ensure any claims are dealt with as quickly as possible.

What if you choose not to add Route package protection?

If you do not opt for Route package protection, you are still covered for lost or damaged packages by Flyin' Miata. Resolution will take longer as we will have to work with the carrier. However, once a package has been marked as delivered by the carrier, even if there is no photo showing delivery, it is your responsibility to secure it. Stolen packages are not covered by Flyin' Miata.

We have found stolen packages to be the most frequent reason for claims, as we put a lot of effort into properly packaging your shipments to protect against damage.
