Description
This boot seals the hole where the shifter comes through the transmission tunnel. It will almost always be ripped on cars older than 4-5 years, which will allow heat and noise to come up through shifter area. You will likely have to replace the small shifter boot at same time.
Unlike the Mazda part, this is made of thicker, more durable rubber. While it won't last forever, it will last much longer than the stock part. Plus, it's much less expensive than the Mazda part!
Mazda equivalent NA01-64-481B, fits all NA and NB models including the Mazdaspeed.

Super thick and sturdy compared to stock. Makes shifting feel sturdy and strong. Rebuilt shifter with this shift boot is a must. The boot rolls roycefied the interior with how much sound it blocks out! Fantastic product and thank you for the sick stickers.

No more smell of transmission fluid inside the cabin
With the insulation kit I purchased separately, these two go together perfectly. I did not know unitil I was upgrading my stereo and removed the center console that the original shifter boot was compromised and had significantly degraded. Much quieter in the cabin too after installation which was very easy. Everything lined up.
