Description
Is your exhaust droopy? Do you have clanks and clunks under your car? The exhaust on your Miata is held up by 4 or 5 rubber hangers - and they're probably as old as your Miata. Make your exhaust all perky again with these polyurethane hangers. They're stiffer than the originals, so your exhaust will stay in place no matter how hard you drive. Great for cars with big exhausts and tight clearances. We think a lot of butterfly braces would fit better with a few of these. 80a durometer.
Sold individually. Factory exhausts use 5 hangers on the 1990-93 models and 4 on the 1994-97. Flyin' Miata exhausts use 4 for all 1990-97 cars. 10 mm holes 1.25" center to center, suitable for 1990-97 Miatas.

These are very firm when cold. Even after 15 minutes at a rolling boil they are still firm but are more pliable. Most difficult part of the install was getting the hole to swell over the exhaust hanger nub.
I installed the Flyin Miata butterfly brace on my 1996 NA and the exhaust was touching the brace in the front. I replaced the sagging 30 year old rubber exhaust hanger with this poly hanger and it completely resolved the issue. Installation was not that difficult.
Was under the car to do differential related work and noticed my exhaust hangers were super soft. Ordered these to replace the 29 year old rubber. A little grease helped ease them on. No more saggy/droopy exhaust.
Quite stiff, fixed the driver side droop on the used Borla touring dual exhaust I picked up. Definitely consider the order in which you mount these, but overall they performed exactly the way I wanted.
B'laster silicone lubricant and an exhaust hanger removal tool used in reverse made this install pretty easy. I combined these hangers with a new Racing Beat exhaust.
I used a floor jack to hold my muffler. The midpipe I just supported with my other hand. The hangers I couldn't fit the tool on, I just twisted and gave a good bit of pressure from the lower part of the hanger. Thankfully these hangers don't have quite as much give as the rubber OEM hangers, so you can use the bottom portion to pull/push it on. Lubricant makes all the difference here.
