Description
With a high power engine, your stock engine mounts (commonly referred to as "motor mounts") have a hard time keeping the engine from moving around under power. Also, factory mounts can crack with as little as 60,000 miles on them. We recommend changing these every time you have the engine out, unless you make a real habit of it.
These stiffer IL Motorsport competition mounts are similar to the Mazda Motorsports version, with one notable difference - they're roughly half the price. They're made of 40% stiffer rubber, just like the Mazda Motorsports versions, to help keep the engine under control. Shifting will be easier as the transmission will move less - you`ll be less likely to make the classic 2-5 shift. There is an increase in noise, vibration and harshness - this doesn't bother some people, but if you drive with the top up most of the time you might want to consider our stock replacement parts instead.
Sold as a pair (enough for one car). Fits all NA and NB Miatas, including the Mazdaspeed.

I must say, I am super pleased with these IL mounts. They are a very nice OE plus/sport modification and I highly recommend them! By no means do they add extra NHV if you already have any bracing done. First thing I noticed was on start-up, the engine had almost no movement and when idling was still as could be. Shifts are significantly more crisp and fluid, especially that 2-3. Everything just feels SO much more tied together and its fantastic! My 01 ls has 113k and the stock mounts were splitting, so it was definitely needed. Install was not horrible, tedious at the most. Do make sure you remove both mounts and then tackle the driver side first, it has specified holes on the frame while the passenger side has a slot, this was my only real issue. Also thread your rear most bolts in first, they will be the most troublesome to line back up.
Good OEM replacement mounts
Not a joy to replace however, these replaced 20 year old mounts wit 160k miles on them. The feel is like stock. I feel zero added NVH. The car feels the way I believe it did/should have from the factory. Helped a bit with take off clutch engagement and 2-3 shift. Not as noticable as I thought the results would be but obviously something I needed due to the small difference. I have these paired with SuperPro Differential Inserts and the car does not have any more NVH than it did prior to installing either and feels more crisp/new. Overall would recommend for a daily driver. Will probably go stiffer down the road when the car can be track/fun dedicated.
Excellent product. Replaced because other work was being done. Thought I wouldn’t notice any difference but was happy to find it felt more solid, smoother and even shifted better.
Just installed these in my 1991 NA and wow! Car definitely feels more responsive and "peppy". There is a bit of NVH from the pedals and steering wheel at idle but in a good way. Worth the investment. Drivers side was easier then expected even with power steering and ac intact.
