Morimoto 2Stroke 4.0 LED headlights, H4/9003, for 1999-00

Meet the new Morimoto 2Stroke 4.0 LED, the successor to the very popular 2Stroke 3.0. No LED bulb in the world more closely simulates the filament size of an incandescent bulb. With a 1.45mm surface emission interval (a fancy way of saying the distance between the chips) it is the closest LED on the market to matching the filament width of an incandescent. By imitating the stock halogen bulb, the 2Stroke 4.0 can recreate the original beam pattern, which casts a greater amount of light on the road and reduces glare for oncoming drivers.

The benefits don’t stop there. The 4.0 uses a new and unique drive rate logic to maintain consistent intensity over time by ramping up power over the first 15 minutes of use. This feature eliminates the loss of intensity found on other LEDs as they heat up. A unique locking adjuster mechanism allows for infinite adjustment to ensure the LED chips point exactly to 3 & 9 o'clock and ensures the adjustment will not slip during installation. Their patented internal circulation cooling system uses a 12,000-rpm cyclone fan to suck cool air into the body of the bulb and blow warm air out, back into the housing. This effectively cools the bulb while warming the ambient temperature inside the housing, increasing resistance to snow/ice buildup on the lens during the winter months. They are also significantly quieter than other fan-cooled LEDs. They are offered with a limited lifetime warranty.

The H4 specifically also has their patented shade cup which focuses light into the normally dead spot common to the H4 improving performance by at least 10%

The H4 (9003) is the correct bulb for the 1999-00 (NB1) high and low beam as well as many other applications.

Note that NB1's headlight polarity is backwards compared to most H4 applications. This means that while the low beams work fine, the high beams typically (but not always) won't work until you install a polarity reverser. We don't have a specific source for those (we've tried and failed), but if you search "H4 polarity reverser" online you should find a few different options.
