Description
Your NB's steering rack is bolted to your car's subframe by using rubber bushings to isolate the rack from the chassis. You would think this is for NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) reasons, but the ND is actually solid mounted. Make your NB more like the ND by getting rid of that slop and bolting your steering rack straight to your subframe. This exclusive kit will make your steering even sharper than it already is and is an excellent complement to chassis stiffening and improved suspension bushings. The driver's side bushings are made out of Delrin, so they're even stiffer than the poly bushings available elsewhere, but with no noticeable NVH penalties. The passenger side bushing is a high durometer polyurethane.
Easy install - remove the stock bushings by pressing or hammering them out, push the new ones in (no special tools needed), and bolt it back together. You shouldn't need a new alignment, but there's an outside possibility that the steering wheel could be slightly off-center.

I was able to do the bushings without removing the rack, but make sure you get an alignment afterwards if you weren't planning to already.
My factory bushings were in decent shape so I didn't notice much difference, I just replaced them as preventative maintenance since I was doing rack spacers anyway. Quality seems good, steering response is nice and sharp. If you haven't done r-package tie rods or your upper and lower control arm ball joints, do both of those before upgrading your steering rack bushings. Also, a little bit of poly bushing lube on two bushings that go inside the steering shaft side helps the install go a lot easier!
Works flawlessly
Installation was pretty easy and quick. There's no noticeable compliance in my steering anymore. I am glad FM mentioned some delrin shaving off being okay in the instructions.
