Description

With the ND2s (2019+), Mazda decided to ditch the CD player between the seats which gave them the opportunity to put in a larger, more functional storage compartment - the floor of the ND2 box is about 2" lower than the ND1. The good news is that the mounting points for the glove boxes did not change between the models, so ND1 owners who desire more in-car storage and don't mind getting rid of the CD player now have that chance. The larger box is especially handy when storing the cup holders.

This kit includes the larger glove box as well as the blanking plate to cap off where the CD player used to live. Please note that the boxes do differ dependent on the top (soft top vs. RF), so you will need to select the box that matches what top your car has.

This kit is for ND1s only, ND2s already have these parts from the factory.

Works well with the ND center console shelf that we offer.

OEM part perfect fitment. This is a nice upgrade for more space. Let’s you use the glovebox when the cup holders are in it. Also get the shelf. Easy install

It's bigger. Bigger is better.

Not a lot to say, it's a bigger box. Every inch matters in a Miata and this gives more inches. You do have to take a good bit of the interior apart to get to it. Hardest part is the roller bar covers. But overall not too bad, took me about 30 minutes. I also put some sticky felt inside the box to stop everything from sliding around. This upgrade is a no brainer.
