FM Big Brake Kit for NA/NB, front only, black, 6-piston Dynapro

Description
This is the front brake setup from our Stage 5 Big Mama Jama brake kit. The best brake setup that will fit under 15" wheels! Six pot calipers with differential bores for even pad pressure, a great big pad and upgraded Spec 37 rotors. The piston sizes are designed to work with stock master cylinder sizes.
These calipers are powdercoated black, unlike the grey anodized version used in the Big Mama Jama. They'll keep their color even after massive heat cycling, but they won't match the rear calipers.

Finally upgraded the brakes on my ~400hp ls6 swapped NA6, after driving it at that level with normal 1.8 brakes for about 3 years. I've only just bedded them in and gone on two spirited drives, but the improved pedal feel is instantly noticeable, and it feels amazing to finally have the brakes to 'mostly' keep up with the horsepower! I chose this particular kit not because it's the best for track use, but primarily because it's the most brake I could fit under all my 15inch wheels. I drive my car daily and year round, and they fit everything in my garage including some motegi ms5s, oz racing supertourismos, my 15x8 rpf1s, and my burner set of NB wheels. For dedicated track use, I might have leaned towards an 11.75inch rotor or even some of the superlite based kits which have an even bigger pad/thicker rotor, but most of those options require 15x9s with spacers or 15x10s to fit properly! That really only allows track or 200tw tire setups. If you're looking for the final answer in brakes for a street driven car, this is the best it gets. I chose to get the front-only brake kit because I did want to retain the good stock ebrake, so I paired the front brakes with some sport rear rotors and boxmounted my non-sport 1.8 calipers in the back. For non-abs people, I would strongly recommend a proportioning valve with these to take full advantage of your car's new stopping power, and for track people I would definitely look into more aggressive brake pads, it didn't take much flogging on the old LS to get the bp-10 to fade on break-in. The weak link is definitely the 11inch rotors, but track-oriented pads with the larger 6712 pad shape should mitigate the higher temperatures, especially if you're someone like me who only does autocross/casual track days 4 or 5 times a year. Would 100% recommend to anybody except maybe the hardest core track junkies... they're never happy lol. For the average joe, you can't beat how solid this makes your pedal feel.
Thanks, Josh! FWIW, we've tracked this exact same kit (with more track-oriented pads) on several V8 Miatas for years with great results. If in doubt, or if you just have questions about your use case, feel free to give us a call and we can help you pick out the best brake kit for just about any Miata application.
