2001-05 0.040" Cometic metal head gasket (84mm bore)

This Cometic gasket is a multi-layer steel unit, just like stock. It's 0.040" thick, which gives an extra 0.008" of head/block spacing. This will lower your compression slightly (a 9:1 will drop to 8.85:1), but will also give more clearance if your pistons are sitting slightly proud of the block.

84mm bore, compatible with stock or our 84mm 9:1 turbo pistons. 0.040" is the thickness of the gasket once it is installed and compressed.

This gasket is designed after the 2001-05 factory part.
