Description
Your stock overflow tank is nasty yellow plastic. This one is sexy cool aluminum, so it's not going to crack with high heat - and the stock tank in a 1999 Miata is over 20 years old by this point. There's always the risk it will crack on track.
Includes a sight tube so you can confirm your coolant level.
Unlike other tanks (and, yes, previous versions of this tank), there's an internal tube to keep coolant from sloshing out during hard left turns.

My first purchase for my brand new second hand Miata. It�s lovely to mix up the bolt stripping, knuckle busting, upside down and out of reach, new swear words inventing parts installs with one like this. Very satisfying. Well built. Looks killer. I recently suffered a cracked tank on my 2015 transit and overheated roadside. Well worth the peace of mind.
The only reason I am giving four vs five stars is because the top bracket was bent upon unboxing. It wasn’t a big deal as it just had to be bent back into the proper shape to be able to bolt it in.
So basically the fact that it came less than perfect got the star reduced, not the material or the product itself.
Pretty aluminum with a site tube to replace that stinky, ugly, yucky old plastic overflow. The only downside is the considerable cost, but that comes with consistently beautiful aluminum tig welds throughout the piece, rock-solid quality, and perfect fitment.
