MX5things window controller

Having power windows with auto-down functionality is great but having even more functionality is better. This simple to install controller from MX5things will enhance the function of your power windows by adding the features listed below.

RF (retractable fastback) window module features:

• One-touch auto-up feature available for each window when controlling the windows from the driver's door switch. 
• The "Unlock" button on the key fob will lower the windows all the way down and the "Lock" button on the key fob will raise the windows all the way up. This can take anywhere from one to three button presses which is user-defined using the provided software. 
• Please note this module does not automatically roll up the windows after the RF top is raised, however, this behavior is possible with the other MX5Things controllers (RF roof controller and ACC/IG controller) installed.

ST (soft top) window module features:

• Windows go all the way up or down (user defined) after the top is opened (soft top only).
• Windows go all the way up after the top is locked (soft top only).
• One-touch auto-up feature available for each window when controlling the windows from the driver's door switch. 
• The "Unlock" button on the key fob will lower the windows all the way down and the "Lock" button on the key fob will raise the windows all the way up. This can take anywhere from one to three button presses which is user-defined using the provided software.

Default programming for both types of window modules:

• Two lock button clicks on the keyfob raise the windows
• Two unlock button clicks on the keyfob lowers the windows

Programmable - plug your in your computer (Mac or PC)via USB, and select what options you want active and what values you'd like - e.g., you can change the number of clicks for keyfob control features. 

Simple installation, no cutting wires. Setting everything up is easy but it does require a laptop and basic computer skills.

The Mazda window system does not have any soft overload protection built-in, meaning it does not detect if something is in the way of the window when rolling up. The driver should take care when using the one-touch window-up function. The one-touch-up function can immediately be canceled by pressing the window-down switch for that window.

Please note that right-hand drive (RHD) cars, some Fiat 124 trims, and some European MX-5 models have different lock connector wiring making the plug-n-play keyfob control harness incompatible since it disables the locking mechanism. An alternate solution does not use the harness plug but instead uses Posi-tap connectors (not supplied), which is covered in the instructions.
