2001-05 0.040" Cometic metal head gasket (85mm bore)

This Cometic gasket is a multi-layer steel unit, just like stock. It's 0.040" thick, which gives an extra 0.008" of head/block spacing. This will lower your compression slightly (a 9:1 will drop to 8.85:1), but will also give more clearance if your pistons are sitting slightly proud of the block.

0.5mm larger bore than the stock gasket, so it's compatible with our 85mm high compression pistons or the 84.5mm 9:1 stroker kits. 0.040" is the thickness of the gasket once it is installed and compressed.

This gasket is designed after the 2001-05 factory part.
