The best radiator in the world suffers if you're not moving air through it. Developed to provide as much airflow attainable through your heat exchanger stack using an affordable brushed fan. Compatible with both factory and FM radiators as well as any radiator that maintains the factory fan mounting.

Designed and tested by the cooling experts at Flyin' Miata.

Testing showed that the NC shroud mounting design has a tendency to allow for flex, so our shroud has reinforced sides to improve rigidity. The shroud is also spaced far enough back to pull air from across the entire radiator core - a close shroud will restrict airflow even when the fan isn't running. We also added bypass flaps to ensure the shroud never restricts airflow in high airspeed situations. There are scored cutouts that can be opened if you have moved your ECU to a different location - flaps are included. We don't recommend opening these cutouts if your ECU has not been moved.

The fan is a brushed 16" Spal unit. In our testing, this setup showed a 45% increase in airflow over the stock fan under similar conditions. It's a plug and play harness that uses factory signals for both temperature and AC function.

What's the difference between the Stage 2 and the Stage 1? The Stage 2 uses a brushless fan. That allows the fan to run exactly as hard as needed. This means less noise, less load on the alternator and no fan cycling. It has a soft start which means no hard electrical surge. The maximum airflow for the Stage 2 is also considerably higher, with an 82% increase over stock airflow. However, it is more expensive so we offer both.

Aftermarket radiators with very thick cores that move the shroud mounting back may require relocating some components such as the battery or modifying the PCM shield. We have not encountered a radiator like this but they may be out there.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0643/3914/9055/files/09-56205_NC_Stage1_Crossflow_Airflow_Kit_082126--3.jpg?v=1787350672
