This gives you a wider range of height adjustment.

Our V-Maxx Classic suspension is very popular, but there's one thing missing from it: adjustable damping. So we worked with V-Maxx to bring an adjustable set to market. They call it the XXtreme.

The XXtreme Track Pack comes with stiff 504 lb/in front and 336 lb/in rear spring rates. They're aimed at cars that spend most of their time on the track. It can still be driven on the street, but it is stiff. Early Miatas should have some sort of chassis reinforcement in order to take full advantage of these spring rates. If you'd like a softer option more suited to street use, these are also available with the Sport spring rates for the same price. The springs are also available separately if you'd like to have multiple sets on hand.

So what makes them work? One of the problems with a lot of coilover setups is that the spring can go loose under full droop. When that happens, there's nothing to extend your shock any further so you've essentially reached the end of your suspension travel. The secondary spring in the V-Maxx coilovers helps to extend the wheel further and give more useful suspension travel.

The secondary springs are 112 lb/in, which gives them enough strength to overcome the damping of the shock. On most cars, they are just barely fully compressed at rest. Other systems will use helper springs as soft as 5 lb/in, which simply isn't enough to do anything useful when you're moving down the road.

Since the spring perch is adjustable, you have full control over ride height and cornerweighting. A 1/2" shorter rear shock body gives extra compression travel for improved ride and handling, even at lower ride heights. They have a two-year warranty. Note that this kit doesn't include upper shock mount parts, as you can reuse your stock shock mount parts. It's a good idea to replace the rubber bushings though, that kit is listed above.

They're not quite in the same league as the Fox in terms of outright speed, but they do offer excellent value and are a good choice for someone who wants an inexpensive coilover setup. So we've worked with V-Maxx to bring an adjustable set to market. They call it the XXtreme. This adjustable damping also opens up the possibility of different spring rates.

The stock upper mounts are retained. They have a two-year warranty.

The XXtreme Sport package is currently only available in the NB fitment. So we've come up with a special package allows NA owners to update their cars to the superior NB specification. It includes a set of upper mounts and all the required bushings and washers to install the later suspension in an early car. This allows you to take advantage of the newer design Mazda developed after 10 years of Miata production. You also don't reuse any of your original suspension parts, so installation is easier with no spring compressor required. Also, if you have an NB and want to replace every single bit, this is the package for you.

They're not quite in the same league as the Fox in terms of outright speed, but they do offer excellent value and are a good choice for someone who wants an inexpensive coilover setup. Not compatible with FM's rear upper mounts, as this combination provides more compression travel than the suspension can physically deliver.

Please note that these were designed as a performance setup, and thus work best at a lower-than-stock ride height. If your garage floor is cracked - or perfect and you don't want to risk any potential lines in your epoxy from the steel balls - be sure to pick up a set of floor plates. The stands have a base that measures 12"x12".

Note that there might be a slight discrepancy (no more than 0.5°) between the camber measured with the Hub Stands and with the wheels installed. This won't change on an individual car unless you change bushings, and is a static number so it's easy to offset your measurements accordingly.

Since these are kinda big and bulky, they can be... annoying... to store. Now with better materials and a dramatically lower price!

Your doors are held closed by the latch, but they're locked into place with a bracket that slides over a rubber bushing. That makes it easy to align everything, but it means the connection isn't as strong as it could be. In a convertible, the doors provide a surprising amount of structural rigidity if they're properly anchored.

These replace the soft rubber door bushings with a stiff, injection molded, fiberglass-reinforced nylon replacement. The door is solidly locked into place, allowing it to reinforce the chassis. The effect is of a stiffer car with fewer squeaks. We have measured a 3% improvement in torsional rigidity on a 1990.

This is our second generation design, which is now made out of fiberglass-reinforced Zytel nylon resin from DuPont, which makes it even better than the old version. Like our first generation, the bushing is taller to give 36% more overlap with the door cup. More overlap = less deflection = stiffer car. And on top of all that, they're half the cost of the previous design!

Now available in colors! Choose from standard black, or a bright red. Bear in mind that the color will not be a perfect match for your car - for that reason, we don't recommend (e.g.) red door bushings for a red car. Want a different color? Let us know! We can't do custom colors, but if we hear from enough people we can add more colors.

Fits all Miatas. However, we have had some reports of squeaking from ND3 owners. We are looking into this, as the factory parts are the same as the earlier cars.

Installation is quick and easy - simply remove the two bolts that hold the factory rubber in place and replace with this stiff piece. The door does need to be aligned properly, so if your Miata has an exciting history a bit of tweaking may be required. We've installed them in every car in our fleet.

Sold in pairs, enough for one car.
