Pallet donors

If you'd like to build your own Westfield but you don't have the time or space to take apart a dead Miata, FM Westfield offers pallet donors. Instead of a leaky smashed up car in your driveway, you'll take delivery of just the parts you need. We can also upgrade individual components if desired or offer a mix of bits out of different cars - it's all up to you.

Basic:
All required parts in the condition that they were removed from the car unless damaged. In that case, they will be replaced with other salvage parts. Parts will be pressure washed so they're clean. The steering column is modified but the driveshaft is not.

Refreshed:
All the required parts. The engine is fitted with a new timing belt, cam seals, front main seal, oil filter, plugs, wires and rear main seal. The valve cover and intake manifold are refinished. The seals on the transmission are also replaced and a new shift boot is included. The brakes are updated with a set of R4S pads and new basic brake rotors along with a litre of DOT4 brake fluid. The flywheel is machined, the uprights are refinished and a new air filter is also supplied. The steering column is modified but the driveshaft is not.

Options:
We will substitute upgraded parts if you'd like. There will be no charge to install a stronger clutch on an refreshed pallet donor. If you'd prefer our big brakes, or a lightweight flywheel, or even a 1999 head we can arrange that. A new custom-built driveshaft with stronger, rebuildable universal joints is a $350 option. Wheel and tire upgrades are also available.

Pricing depends on the options you choose. A 1990 donor with an open differential is going to be less expensive than a 1994 with a Torsen, 6-speed transmission and the larger Sport brakes. Here are some examples, call us to discuss your own personal mix. These prices may vary depending on the mileage of the donor car and should be used as a guide only. They do not include shipping.

Donor engine LSD basic refreshed
1990-93 1.6
no $2,200 $3,400
1994-97 1.8 Torsen $2,800 $4,000
