Trackspeed 1990-05 brake ducts
It`s easy to make your car stop once. But making it stop over and over and over again under hard conditions is more difficult. You`re generating a huge amount of heat. And the best way to cool your brakes is to provide them with a supply of cool fresh air.
Trackspeed has come up with an excellent brake duct design that is compatible with all 1990-05 Miata brakes, stock and aftermarket. There`s protection for the ball joint on the steering rod end, so you won`t cook that with extended hard use. It even has a hole for the ABS sensor. Aluminum construction, so it`s light and rust proof. You will need some 2" hose to feed air to the ducts - not included. The best way to connect the hose to a fresh air source depends on your Miata. Fog light holes and air dam inlets work well. Sold as a pair, one pair needed per car.
The duct simply bolts in place of your factory dust shield. The hub has to be removed for installation. Clearance between the rotor and the ball joint is tight, some light massaging might be required.
