April 20, 2012 - With the hood latch removed, we turned to Aerocatch for hood retention duties.
These are really nice because they're clean and low profile, but easier to use than traditional pins. The procedure is almost identical to the way the top latches work on a Miata, actually.
It's also very easy to tell if they're open, even from the driver's seat. That's important, you don't want to drive off with your pins unpinned. As you can see from the picture, this model can be locked. They're also available in black or white and can be painted. Dave specified the CF look for CF-55, of course.
